I served as an AmeriCorps Food Educator teaching seed-to-table food education at a Title I school in Bellingham, Washington. This is my first story of service. (Fall 2016)
I started my personal newsletter in November 2015 with the objective of keeping my friends and family updated on all that I was exploring and learning in the PNW. However, it quickly transformed into a creative outlet where I was able to develop my voice and explore a different form of media.
I published two to three blog posts weekly for the James Beard Foundation. A few of my favorites include a tribute to Valentine's Day, an explainer on halva, and a roundup of weekly reads. (Spring 2016)
I created Your Space NYC for a social media class in college. I spent the semester interviewing ClassPass instructors, doing and re-doing my editorial calendar, and experimenting with content that people will want to share and engage with. (Spring 2016)
I worked abroad for a summer in London, England, and studied for a semester in Sevilla, Spain. This blog is a diary of my travels. (Summer and Fall of 2014)
I created For Future Foodies for a Journalism class. I spent countless afternoons scrolling through Twitter feeds, and chasing after food trucks (literally, chasing). (Spring 2013)
I wrote a couple personal essays for a creative writing class. Here is one about my grandparents, and here is one about moving to New York City. (Fall 2012)
