The 8th Annual Harvest Dinner for Common Threads (October 2017)
The fundraiser consists of a farm-to-table menu prepared largely by students and volunteers for friends and family of the school district.
I coordinated more than 20 educators and volunteers, planned the ingredients, quantities, and timelines for six dishes, and problem-solved day-of logistical challenges. Because I was organized and communicated clearly, the event was timely and enjoyable for our approximately 150 attendees.
The 4th Annual Dirt Fest for Common Threads (April 2018)
From start to finish, I took the lead on the organization's spring garden celebration. I designed the flyer, set timelines, and coordinated activities, food, and more than 15 volunteers. I was the go-to person to troubleshoot problems on the day-of.
We saw significantly more attendees compared to the previous years and an increase in awareness of Common Threads' work in the community.
Insect Safari 2018 for Common Threads (July 2018)
I executed and led the 2nd Insect Safari featuring entomologist Don Ehlen. From design to marketing to volunteer and music coordination to clean up, I saw this event through from start to finish. We had the largest turnout of any Common Threads events, raising over $1,500.
The event was so successful that it will now be an annual fundraiser.
